    几岁了? isn’t it mainly used for asking children their age ? For adults more usually 你多大了。。。。。。

    @jinfenguk hi! I think 你多大了 can also be used for children as well. it is ok to ask adults 你几岁了,but probably not 你多大了, especially to senior people. hope that helps. Cheers!

    问孩子才用这个。
    问成年人都说多大了或是贵庚了。
    老人得用 高寿了

    ‘how old are you?’ No one says ‘how old are you this year’ or ‘how old are you next year?’
    so essentially the sentence’s wrong,or not in use.Please correct,just give chinese translation for ‘how old are you?’ Thanks in advance.

    @c3r4e3a1t5 我觉得说多大了感觉也是对小孩子说的。。。
    对,不同年龄的用法不同。。。不过教的时候先教基础的。。。
    要用到“贵庚”或者“高寿”,都已经不是初级汉语的范围了。

    @mbtheja Hi, Thanks for your request. Recently I have stop making more sentences in youtube, because I have created a relationship oriented Chinese course on my website. Please feel free to have a look at my website for more information. Cheers!

    @mbtheja This is the Chinese way of saying “How old are you?”. In Chinese you can either say “How old are you?” as 你几岁了? or 你今年几岁了。 Both are correct sentences with grammar applied.

    Thanks for your question. If you want to just say “How old are you?”, you can say 你几岁了。

    Cheers.
